Why this model
Larger mobile production kits.
Handsfree 2 adds a larger battery and higher output to the backpack format. It pairs a 512Wh, 700W station with a 60L backpack option, giving photographers and field workers a different way to organize power alongside their gear.
Plan your power needs
Think about both charging stops and carrying stops. A backpack can consolidate equipment, but it does not make the battery weight disappear. If most of your day is spent at a base rather than walking between locations, a standard station may be easier to share and recharge.
Estimate runtime
How long could it power your devices?
At an illustrative steady 80W, the 80% AC planning budget is 409.6Wh, or about 5.1 hours. That is roughly 90% more rated energy than Handsfree 1, not a guarantee of five days in the field. The equipment and hours you run decide the trip budget.
Estimate = rated Wh × 80% ÷ load W. The 80% allowance is illustrative, not measured for this model. Inverter idle draw, temperature, battery age and cycling loads affect actual runtime. Check motor startup separately; lifting modes do not replace continuous ratings.
Illustrative AC estimate from a full base battery, without recharging or expansion batteries. Small loads can be especially sensitive to inverter idle draw.

BLUETTI’s US model table lists 60 months for Handsfree 1/Handsfree 2, subject to terms and exclusions. The battery cycle-life claim and warranty period are different measures.
Read this before ordering.
The single AC outlet shares the station’s 700W continuous limit. A high-wattage kettle demonstration in lifting mode is not proof that your electronic equipment can exceed that rating. Use the manual’s mode and ventilation instructions for your setup.
Station or solar bundle?
A station-only purchase does not include solar panels. Check panel voltage, current, connectors and required cables against the exact manual; matching the panel’s advertised watts alone is insufficient.

What independent reviewers found
Dustin Abbott liked the storage, charging capability and backpack execution, while noting the weight and shallow photography section. His conclusion was use-case specific: the format makes most sense when a backpack is needed to reach the destination.

Before you choose
Will it power a multi-day shoot on one charge?
That depends on measured energy use. Build a battery-recharge list and daily load budget, then plan replenishment. Neither backpack volume nor an inverter rating establishes the number of days it can run your gear.
Can I connect this to household wiring?
Use only compatible approved connection equipment and appropriate professional installation. Never backfeed a household outlet. A station’s plug shape does not establish that a household circuit or appliance is compatible.
